WORLD WAR II
Please join us at the Cowan Center for the Arts for a World War II History Lecture on Sunday, September 27th, 5:00 p.m. in the theatre.
Mr. Charles Fryer of Decherd will discuss the history of the 409th Bombardment from Oklahoma City that flew 257 combat missions over most of continental Europe. Mr. Fryer himself was stationed with the 409th near Cambridge, England on D-Day.
Besides his military career during World War II, Mr. Fryer served an active role in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He is also the first master sergeant ever stationed at Arnold Airforce Base.
The WWII History lecture is part of a series of lectures hosted by Cowan Center for the Arts.
